About Me

I am Myrah Macpherson - a very keen skier who, following my former life in the hotel and hospitality industry decided in 2003 on a change of career direction. My passion for winter sports, entertaining, and a love of the mountains made working in the Alps for a UK Chalet Holiday operator a natural choice. It was meant to be just a single (very late) Gap Year ! However, several subsequent winter seasons soon followed and I then started looking around for other opportunities to allow me to remain in the Alps. In 2006/7 I recognised the need for a reliable, locally based, operation providing a bespoke, quality range of services including cleaning, laundry, maintenance, & guest care all under one roof. With my then partner I have taken this concept forward and I offer an extensive portfolio of services to assist all visitors to the local area. My background in hospitality management and catering, together with a total of 10 successful winter seasons in the French Alps, means that I'm ideally suited to look after you, your property, and your guests. Now that I am based in the Alps virtually year round - I look forward to working with you to ensure that your property is always in excellent condition and that you and your guests have a fabulous, stress free stay whilst visiting.

Resume - Myrah Macpherson

Originally from Inverness, Myrah enjoyed an extensive & varied career in hotel management, primarily in the high 3* / 4* sector. Since 2003 she has spent 2 winters as a chalet host in Meribel, 3 Valleys and then a third year there as Chalet Manager for a group of 6 chalets, all for the upmarket tour operator VIP. In the Chalet Manager role she was responsible for all aspects of guest care, staff training & welfare, chalet standards, and budgeting. Following that, in 2006/7, Myrah was chalet chef for an independent property in Courchevel 1300. Last but not least, she ran a chalet for a holiday company in Montchavin/Les Coches (La Plagne). During her rare time away from the Alps Myrah cooks for parties in various estate lodges throughout Scotland, primarily through Cindy Webster Cooks or Lumleys Cooks agencies. These jobs involve catering for a variety of groups and ages, who may be either on a family gathering or on a sporting holiday. Her menus are varied according to client tastes, but often include game and fish caught by the party during their week.
